families
Our family workshops are usually inspired by a well-known book or story and include hands-on creative activities, games and ideas to do at home. All the activities bring the books and stories to life and help children to develop important literacy and numeracy skills. At the same time, we support parents’ skills, knowledge and confidence about how to help their children learn.
We provide flyers, registration forms and tickets to help promote the workshop before the event. All sessions are evaluated by participants and your organisation is provided with a written report after the workshop has taken place. Workshops last about two hours and are designed for up to 10 adults and 10 children.
Examples of recent successful sessions include Dear Zoo, Jack and the Beanstalk, and The Gingerbread Man. We are happy to try and build a session around a particular book or theme, if you have one in mind.
